When you enter the gym at Berry Shoals Intermediate School, it's not hard to see that students are learning and having fun. Now, their hard work, along with that of their physical education teachers, is being noticed at the national level! Spartanburg District Five Schools is proud to announce that Berry Shoals Intermediate School has been listed among "America's Healthiest Schools" for the 2022-23 school year. Berry Shoals is one of 781 schools nationwide to receive the award, which celebrates schools' dedication to supporting the health and well-being of students, staff and families, is given out annually.
Berry Shoals was recognized in three categories: Health Education, Physical Education and Physical Activity, and Staff Well-Being.
The recognition is awarded by Alliance for a Healthier Generation a leading children’s health organization.
