Limited school choice applications for the 2024-25 school year are now available in Spartanburg District Five. The school choice window is open October 2 - November 21, 2023, and applications can be accessed online through our district website here.
New attendance lines will be in place for the 2024-25 school year, due to the opening of two brand new schools and the elimination of intermediate schools in District Five. Due to these changes, the limited school choice window is open earlier this year, to allow for extensive planning of staffing and school enrollment.
This also means that all students who are currently on school choice, or are new to the process, MUST submit an application for the 2024-25 school year.
All students currently enrolled in District Five from outside our district MUST also submit a new out of district application. This includes out of district students who are remaining in the same school for 2024-25. Any student requesting out of district permission MUST APPLY. Students must also continue to obtain a release from their home district, which should be submitted by email to Saterria Broomfield at the Spartanburg District Five district office.
The deadline to submit limited school applications for the 2024-25 school year is November 21, 2023. Parents or guardians will receive a written response letter in the mail no later than January 15, 2024, indicating whether they have been approved for school choice.
